What SunFinder Does

SunFinder helps users compare destinations based on weather, temperature, holiday dates, region information, airports, and travel planning links. Weather and travel information may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate, so users should verify important information before booking travel.

Information You Provide

SunFinder does not require you to create an account. The app may store your selected preferences on your device, such as temperature range, holiday length, continent selection, weather preferences, selected language, date flexibility, and selected departure airport.

If you email us for feedback or support, we will receive the email address and information you choose to include in that message.

Information Stored On Your Device

SunFinder stores app preferences and cached weather/search data locally on your device to make the app faster and reduce repeated weather requests. This local data can be removed by clearing the app data or uninstalling the app.

Weather And Travel Data Providers

To provide weather forecasts, SunFinder may contact external weather services using destination coordinates, forecast dates, and weather request details. These requests are used to retrieve forecast information for destinations and are not used by SunFinder to identify you personally.

SunFinder may use weather information from providers such as Open-Meteo, MET Norway, Bright Sky, National Weather Service, SMHI, Met Eireann, or other publicly available weather sources. Provider availability may change over time.

SunFinder includes travel booking links, such as links to flight or holiday booking websites. When you open an external booking link, you leave SunFinder and the destination website's own privacy policy applies.

Advertising And Purchases

SunFinder may show ads using Google AdMob. We request limited or non-personalised ads where available and do not add Firebase Analytics for app analytics. Ad providers may process information such as device identifiers, coarse device information, ad impressions, and ad interactions in order to show, measure, limit, and protect ads.

SunFinder may offer optional support purchases or rewarded ads. Purchases are handled by Google Play or Apple App Store payment systems. SunFinder does not receive your full payment card details.

Data Sharing

SunFinder does not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with external services only as needed to provide app features, such as weather forecasts, ads, support purchases, or external booking links.

Data Security

SunFinder uses standard platform storage for local app data and communicates with external services over HTTPS where supported. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

Data Retention And Deletion

Preferences and cached weather/search data remain on your device until they are replaced, cleared, or the app is uninstalled. Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond and manage support requests.

To delete local SunFinder data, uninstall the app or clear the app's storage from your device settings. To ask us to delete support email correspondence, contact sunfinder.appsupport@gmail.com.

Children

SunFinder is not designed for children under 13 and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
